I’ve been away for sometime. Been moving into and renovating a 112 year old home. So let’s start back up on something a little more modern. Homosexuality is deemed a sin and “unnatural” by many of the revealed religions. In some countries you can even be executed for being a homosexual. Here in our country they are ridiculed, beat, spit upon, and there are religious “camps” that try to “reconvert” you back to heterosexuality.
While I am not gay or even curious in any way I have had many gay and lesbian friends. I find them often to be interesting and carefree individuals. They run the gambit from corrupt to more moral then the most pious Christian. Yet their likes are considered unnatural.
I would like to disagree with all religions on this. Let’s take the American Bison for example. When allowed the bison break up into two “herds”. The male herd and female herds that parallel each other. They mix to mate and the males will often move in to protect the females and their offspring. Now outside the mating season the males will often mount each other in sexual fashion. This is not a dominance play because the dominance of the males is established by when they are born (those in the earlier season are more dominant then those born later). The lower ranked males will mount the upper ranked and vice versa. Obviously they are a creature of nature and they are performing something that is deemed “unnatural.” How do you explain this? I could go on to add other animals but it would be a basic repeat of this one.
